Why Do Families Choose HVA?
We know that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you make as a parent. Families say that HVA is an amazing school and a special place for their children! Here’s why.
World class education, on par with the best private schools.
HVA offers a private school quality education from our Montessori PreK through our distinguished high school International Baccalaureate (IB) program. We will support your child to become intellectually sophisticated, wholesome in character, an avid reader, an independent thinker, and a compassionate individual who graduates from college and makes a meaningful contribution to society.
A Montessori PreK, free of charge.
PreK at HVA is a joyful experience where children are taught kindness, respect, and independence. Our Montessori PreK builds intellectual curiosity, the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, and an eagerness to pursue learning. Children in our PreK are encouraged to be sensitive to one another’s feelings, develop empathy, and learn to use appropriate words when expressing their emotions. Montessori is a highly respected approach typically found in private schools. At HVA your child will have access to this prestigious program at no cost.
One community for PreK–12th grade.
Once enrolled, your child is part of the HVA family and will have the opportunity to continue in our schools through high school graduation. You will have no need to reapply or go through the stress, uncertainty, and frustration of the school application process again. HVA students are supported throughout their entire educational journey. We even have a college support team that guides them through college graduation!
A focus on critical thinking, independence, and ethical purpose.
HVA is known for teaching independent thinking. Our students learn to take initiative, set goals, self-assess, self-manage progress, and work to continually improve. We teach them to think deeply and to act with wisdom and integrity. An HVA education is superb preparation for a life of purpose. HVA students learn the leadership skills that will enable them to achieve their personal dreams and contribute to the greater good.
Warm, caring schools with a deep respect for students and families.
Parents often comment that HVA is like a family. Our schools are small and caring, our teachers are attentive to your child, and the staff is warm and courteous. We treat parents and caregivers with respect and kindness, and we communicate with families frequently and openly. Our students feel a genuine sense of belonging and a spirit of loving kindness.
